DD050 Kid Danger vs Atomic Army Ants

I found out that the art in Atomic Robo is just pencils and then colours. I wanted to see how that would turn out with this drawing, and I am happy with the results.

So I got the Wally Wood artist's edition today and after looking at it, I picked up a pencil and drew this. I went straight from rough pencils to inks. I also changed it up and inked with a nib, and then brush. I don't have anymore halftones so they were added in photoshop.

A local band is getting a group of artists to draw a few pages for each of there songs. This is what I did last night. In the past I have had problems removing the non-photo blue lines in my art, this one cleaned up nice.

Jay and Silent Bob. I need a lot more practice with my Copic Markers, but I did like using my white pencil crayon overtop of the grey...I also really need to start drawing some backgrounds.

DD040 Rumble fish re-design

Ive always had a pencil in my hand and my son has grown up around sketches and pages of art. He asks for one or two pictures here and there, but mostly he pays them no mind. I was surprised to his reaction from Rumble Fish. I thought making him into a superhero would get a chuckle and then he would forget all about. But he has gone to school and already he is trying to get his friends to make up characters for him to battle. If nothing ever happens with this idea, it will be worth it, just seeing the smile on his face.

DD037 Rumble Fish

I have an idea for a kids comic called "Rumble Fish". The boy Logan is named after my son, he and his goldfish fight off Aliens, Robots, and Dinosaurs.

I have been finding great old comic covers and splash pages on Tumblr and applying them to my own characters. Again the art is just recycled from my Daily Doodles but it works for now.

Update, I was asked about flatting today so I tried this one out, by the time I was finished flatting I thougt I might as well colour it for my Daily Doodle.
